The Hong Kong Tennis Patrons’ Association Ltd. (TPA)
is a leading community organization, established in 1976 to
promote and stage international tennis tournaments. The TPA
is headed up by several distinguished members of the local
community, and is proud to have staged many important events
over the past 26 years. The TPA is funded by the commercial
sector and relies almost solely on patron support and sponsorship
to finance these events. The Patrons are made up of local
companies and individuals who support these tournaments through
generous donations and subscriptions to Patron Boxes. From
these annual tennis events, the TPA has been able to donate
more than HK$15 million towards the development of Junior
Tennis in Hong Kong.
And now, as part of the government’s program of events
to relaunch Hong Kong, the TPA is delighted to present the
“Watsons Water Champions Challenge”, a star-studded
three day extravaganza at Victoria Park on January 8-10th,
2004 featuring both male and female stars of superstar status
including Roger Federer, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Venus Williams,
Maria Sharapova, Martin Verkerk, Max Mirnyi, Jennifer Capriati
and Elena Dementieva.
